Welcome (Back) to Seasons!
Welcome to the new host site for my blog Seasons. As I once told students on the first day of class, you might want to take a little time to look around and familiarize yourself with our new digital home. Thanks to the work of Karissa Herchenroeder and the Siburt Institute, our new platform provides fresh ways to present content, as well as a more stable platform to prevent those nasty and prolonged crashes we had been experiencing. In time, more and more content from the old site will migrate here. Meanwhile, if you remember a post or prayer that you cannot find, just drop me a line at gdp05b@acu.edu.
Those who subscribed to the old site (through Charis) have already been re-subscribed here (through Mosaic). Previews of new posts will continue to appear on Facebook at Hurting with God. However, if you have many Facebook friends, it’s easy for new notifications to be buried beneath mountains of more recent activity on your newsfeed. So, this would be an excellent time to subscribe, enroll in a drawing for one million dollars, and receive instant email notifications of all new posts on Seasons. Well, at least the last clause of that sentence will be true. Just follow this link to subscribe, and if you have trouble, drop me an email and I’ll see that you are enrolled (see address above).
I appreciate your patience and your making this move with me. In time, I hope to be back on a regular posting schedule—albeit less than twice a week as before so as to provide time for me to work on another book (ready or not, here comes Job). Meanwhile, as you explore our new home, be sure to visit our host site Mosaic and the excellent content posted there on a regular basis.
