Daffodils push up through snow and icicles drip from tiny, chartreuse tree leaves.
Green grass burns in heat while lantanas flourish.
Thunder cracks the sky as cool air collides with hot.
Red and yellow leaves flutter through the brisk breeze.
Barren branches shiver with snowflakes.

High tide and low tide carve patterns in the sand.
The sun rises and sets; rises and sets.
The moon is new, waxing, full, waning, absent, and new again.
Dropped petals nourish seedlings.
Molded leaves insulate bulbs at rest.

Push and pull.
Advance and retreat.
Together and alone.
Accomplish and rest.
Speak and listen.
Teach and learn.
Tug of rope matures and strengthens.

Living gives way to dying.
Rebirth.
Advent moves to Lent.
Easter.
Dissonant harmonies.
